What is Step-A-Way?

Step-A-Way Nursery School is a part-time, state-accredited, multi-denominational Christian preschool offering quality programs for children ages two to five years of age. This pre-school has operated continuously on this campus for over forty years! We offer age-appropriate learning activities in a loving and nurturing environment that recognizes each child's uniqueness. Our play-based curriculum uses the State Department of Education's Preschool goals as the basis for creative learning experiences.

Is Step-A-Way a Baptist preschool?

Step-A-Way is not specifically designed as a "Baptist" preschool. We teach children from all denominations and creeds. It is designed to be a safe place for children with a Christian atmosphere that is welcoming to children and families from various faith streams.  Our staff is Christian and our church setting is Christian, yet our students come from many different backgrounds. We purpose to be welcoming and respectful to differing religious views. We will say a blessing at snack time or pray for a child when they skin their knee because our heart is to nurture, instruct, and protect every child entrusted to our care.
