Salt and Light Food Pantry

Every Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm we hand out food from our Salt and Light Food Pantry. We gave the pantry this name because Jesus taught His followers to be salt and light in this world. It's our desire to feed people regardless of their faith, race or socio-economic status. Hunger is universal.

The pantry was converted from an unused one-car garage back in 2007. Anywhere from 10-15 individuals and families from the surrounding communities are welcomed in weekly, given two bags of groceries and a Bible to take home.

The pantry is stocked by our own volunteers and supported through donations made by our own church members and friends in the community. If you'd like to donate financially to support this ministry, please mail your check made out to Stepney Baptist Church, and earmark it Salt and Light Food Pantry. 100% of contributions to the food pantry will be used to help feed people in crisis in our immediate area. All donations are tax deductable.
